The Oscars
Ahh.. the Oscars. Maybe the most pretentious awards show of them all. I watched only a few minutes of the Oscars, and i almost stabbed myself in the eye with a pencil. Now granted i think that the academy finally got some things right with the awards (except for The Inconvenient Truth, which shouldn't have even been a movie). I tried to sit through Leo and Al and their lame jokes but almost threw up. But alas, that is what we have to live with nowadays. Pretentious liberals who think they have all the answers and will stomp on your face if you don't agree with them. Granted The Departed deserved the Oscar that it got and Scorscese got what he deserved finally, but other than that. The Oscars were too long and sucky.

yeah, I can't disagree with anything you said here.
also, comment.
seriously, funny.
Alas, I must respectfully disagree. Granted, it is a little pretentious, but I, for one, enjoy the pomp and circumstance of the celebration.
You know I actually enjoyed everything you had to say in your statement about the entertainment awards. It's interesting to me that in today's day in age where celebrities seem to "rule the world" so to say, that finally someone has some backbone to speak some truth on the situation. I think the awards are boring--I mean lets liven it up a bit, eh? Anyway, good for you, thank you for speaking up.. you should be on the news! :) haha

Very true. All I enjoy about these shows are the dresses...what a girl! But the show its self, yawn.
